Suspected Robber Killed in California Jewelry Store

Vallejo, Calif. On May 3, the owner of Carrillo’s Jewelry store shot and killed a suspected robber. According to reports, the man entered the jewelry store and pointed his handgun at the owner. The owner pulled out his own gun and shot the robber, killing him at the scene.

Chicago Store Owner Shoots Alleged Robber in the Leg

Chicago. On April 30, the owner of Starlight Jewelry shot an alleged robber in the leg. According to reports, Musa Thomas, 19, entered the store and demanded cash. Thomas, reportedly armed with a handgun, is alleged to have ripped a necklace off the shop owner’s 4-year-old granddaughter and then fired shots, prompting the store’s owner to shoot Thomas in the leg.

$130K Worth of Jewels Stolen From Los Angeles Store

West Los Angeles, Calif. On May 3, three men entered Zales jewelry store, armed with hammers. The suspects smashed display cases, stealing $130,000 worth of jewelry before fleeing the store.

Alleged Robber Pepper Sprays Store Employees

Charlotte, N.C. On May 3, a man entered A. Bonnart Jewelers and aimed a bottle of pepper spray at the store owner and his son. He then stole numerous jewelry items and watches. The son of the owner suffered minor injuries after fighting with the robber.

North Carolina Jewelry Store Hit With Armed Robbery

Raleigh, N.C. On May 4, three men armed with handguns and a rubber mallet entered Bailey’s Fine Jewelry. The men broke display cases and stole large diamonds. The robbers fled in a metallic-colored Hyundai after stealing the jewels.
