3 New Silver Lines Unveiled at JCK Las Vegas 2013

Several talented jewelry designers unveiled silver lines—a trend that continues among high-end artists—at JCK Las Vegas and LUXURY this year. Here are three that I think are worth closer examination.

1. Sunrise from Rina Limor

New York City–based Rina Limor is known for rich bridal looks and high-end colored stone styles, so her move into silver with a new collection called Sunrise was a surprise. Still, the pieces have her signature style of celebrating big stones.

2. Mayson silver line from Sethi Couture

Known for her vintage-inspired, oxidized looks, San Francisco–based Sethi Couture brought out a new silver line called Mayson. Offering similar blackened styles but in silver instead of gold with 14k yellow gold accents and minimalist silhouettes, the designs feature “organically cut sapphires, geometric shapes in garnets, and soft hues of moonstones,” according to the brand. Suggested retail prices start at $150.

3. Zorab

I can’t find the pictures on my iPhone, but, if you’re familiar with the brand’s big, bold colored stone styles and wild animal motifs, then you’re familiar with its new silver line called Arianna by Zorab, featuring 50 SKUs and starting at about $200 retail. A retailer I spoke to during the show was ecstatic to hear that Zorab had introduced a silver line, and the brand’s designer, Liza Istanboulian, told me that some of her clients in Texas were “flipping out” over the new offerings.
