While Kruse GWS Auctions hasn’t been on my radar as much as other auction houses of late, I was excited to peruse the catalog for its upcoming Royal Artifacts, Fine Jewelry, Handbags and Timepieces event happening Saturday, Aug. 24.
The Los Angeles–based, fifth-generation auctioneer has amassed more than more than 270 lots of luxury goods, largely centered on signed vintage jewelry from Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels, David Webb, and other coveted names that inform my daily jewelry fantasies.
The Cartier game is strong here, my friends (tons of Panthère de Cartier goodies, a few highlighted below, including a brooch with a 10 ct. yellow sapphire). There is also a pair of diamond door knockers that are so glamorous it actually hurts. And a 1970s cigar band ring that looks very familiar…
Take a look at my edit below, which starts with some wonderful vintage coral pieces (also at top), because what better way to keep those summer vibes in play? (I will not be addressing fall until after Labor Day, thank you very much. I’m passing on the pumpkin spice for now.)
