The Legend of Golconda, a 23.15 ct. D internally flawless type IIa antique-cut diamond, is among the sale’s top lots, carrying an estimate of between $4.3 million and $5 million. The gem hails from the Golconda mine in India, famed for its translucent IIa gems.

Also up for sale is a 77.77 ct. VS2 fancy vivid yellow diamond and diamond ring, which is estimated between $6.8 million and $7.5 million.
Finally, it’s also offering a 4.57 ct. internally flawless fancy vivid pink diamond and diamond ring, mounted by Carvin French. As just one in 10 million polished pink diamond attains the fancy vivid rating—and pink diamonds account for only one out of every 1 million carats of rough—this stone “earns itself a place in the hall of fame alongside other legendary pink diamonds,” Sotheby’s says.
