Roll Call of 2025’s Departing Jewelry Retailers

Share

Once again, JCK is starting the year with a list of U.S. jewelers that closed, or announced they would close, during the preceding year.

The roster below is organized by state. It doesn’t include every jeweler that closed in 2025—just the ones we could find information on, either through news reports or social media. In some cases, the store owners are continuing the business online or as a private jeweler. (The accompanying “source” link includes more context about the closing.)

One of the hazards of doing this list is that every so often, a store owner reconsiders their decision to close, or the store is purchased at the last minute. If there’s any additional info you feel we should know, please send me an email, and we’ll update the story.

Independent retailers are the backbone of this business. Many of these stores below served their communities for decades—in some cases, for over a century. We are sad to see them go, and we’re sure their local communities are too.

So let’s lift a post–New Year’s glass to…
