The stone, set in a ring, is the largest fancy vivid pink pear-shape diamond ever offered at auction.

The Sotheby’s Magnificent and Noble Jewels auction on May 17 in Geneva will feature the Unique Pink, a 15.38 ct. fancy vivid pink diamond that will be the largest fancy vivid pink pear-shaped diamond ever offered at auction.

The Unique Pink is described by GIA specialists as “a truly exceptional gem” and “a rare and remarkable beauty.” It is estimated to sell for $28 million–$38 million.

Other highlights of the sale include a 7.32 fancy vivid blue diamond ring (estimated at $15 million–$25 million); a rare jewel including a 6.64 ct. fancy intense blue diamond by Alexandre Reza (estimated at $10 million–$14 million); a 21.11 ct. fancy pink diamond ring (estimated at $5 million–$7 million); a 7.03 ct. Burmese ruby and diamond ring (estimated at $5 million–$8 million); and many other pieces of important provenance and design.
