15 Valentine’s Day Jewels That Should Be in Your Store

Valentine’s Day may be celebrated today as a romantic holiday where lovers profess affections, but keep your eyes on the prize, retailers, because you know what this holiday is really about: crushing your competitors in the candy and floral industries. I’m just saying what’s on everybody’s minds! And the unfortunate reality is that candy and flowers eat up funds that should be going into your pockets. Jewelers have an inherent leg up on these short-lived and noncommittal products: Betrothals happen with diamonds that last forever, not Whitman’s Samplers or rose bouquets that offer enjoyment for about a week. And where are last year’s chocolates and roses now? In the form of five extra pounds on the hips and the compost pile, respectively. Weight gain and withered beauty do not drive home the message of everlasting love like jewelry. Game faces on, gang: Pour proverbial gasoline on the romantic flames by offering super cool and pretty jewelry. Hopefully this group of 15 is among them.
