Another year, another list of trends to stay on top of! Join JCK senior editor Jennifer Heebner and me as we exemplify the best jewels to stock this year, from her 2015 list of 12 trends to follow.

Trend No. 5: 1960s—1970s Motifs

And I was just celebrating the fact that the nineties were making a comeback. I am happy to embrace another era of style, where bohemian meets hippy-dippy, particularly when I think of the icons that come from that golden span of time. Edie Sedgwick, Jane Birkin, Jean Shrimpton, Twiggy, Audrey Hepburn, Bianca Jagger. My goodness, these women made looking amazing seem effortless. With  that essence of cool in mind, think about trading in leather for suede and embracing fringe, feathers, and an inclincation towards everything free spirit. Large hoop earrings, long, shoulder-dusting drops, and geometrically-tinged jewels reign supreme, with chunky gold pieces adding just the right touch. Everything old is new again, and everything new is inspired by styles that never seem to grow old.
