Trend No. 11: Watches
Let’s start by saying that a timeless watch will truly never go out of style. Still, it’s not uncommon these days to see wrists absent of timepieces, thanks to iPhones and the like. Answer this: The last time someone asked you for the time, did you glance at your wrist or reach for your pocket? If you answered the latter, you’re definitely not alone. But thanks to the popularity of smartwatches and other wearable tech, interest is returning to wrist wear—and not just the kind that can make phone calls. More and more designers are finding new and exciting ways to present the watch, some taking on watch lines for the first time. So, should your showcases be stocked with Rolex, Patek Phillipe, and Audemars Piguet? Without question—no matter what happens in technology, luxury watches will never fade. As the demand for what we want in our watches constantly evolves, it’s good to have some interchangeable, affordable options. Reasonable price points make for easy gifting (the gift of time is one of the best), and those who consider themselves collectors won’t be able to pass up new arrivals like these: a mix of splurge-and-save pieces to spruce up any watch assortment now.
