She’s done it again. For the third year in a row, JCK senior editor Jennifer Heebner has released her much-anticipated and eerily accurate list of jewelry trends for the year. Twelve looks for 2014—everything from specific gemstones to bold colors and styles—can be found here. And for the second year in a row, I’ll be joining her in sharing with you our favorite pieces to go along with each of the 12 trends. So if you haven’t already, check out Jen’s 12 Jewelry Trends for 2014: The Third Annual List of What to Buy, Sell, and Stock in the Year Ahead, and join us as we take this fashionable journey of jewelry!
Jewelry Trend No. 2: Radiant Orchid. Pantone’s selection for its 2014 Color of the Year is, in a word, refreshing. While I’ll admit that purple isn’t necessarily my favorite color, it’s one that often seems neglected and forgotten. In a closet crammed with shades of blue, green, and of course tons of black, I think I have one purple shirt. One. All of that is about to change as we usher into spring, and new wardrobes are already begging for the jewels to match. Consider going monochromatic with amethyst jewels on an outfit in shades of purple, or picture how eye-popping rose de France jewels will be against a background of black. With a new lease on lavender, I’m looking forward to embracing a new hue this year. Make sure your customers are up to it, too, with this selection of radiant orchid jewels.
