She’s done it again. For the third year in a row, JCK senior editor Jennifer Heebner has released her much-anticipated and eerily accurate list of jewelry trends for the year. Twelve looks for 2014—everything from specific gemstones to bold colors and styles—can be found here. And for the second year in a row, I’ll be joining her in sharing with you our favorite pieces to go along with each of the 12 trends. So if you haven’t already, check out Jen’s 12 Jewelry Trends for 2014: The Third Annual List of What to Buy, Sell, and Stock in the Year Ahead, and join us as we take this fashionable journey of jewelry!
Trend No. 6: Chevrons and pyramids
A resurgence in punk-rock fashion was in full effect after last year’s Met Gala, which translated to the fashion runways and, in turn, jewelry in a big way. But let’s be honest. Even the trendiest of professional women probably aren’t sporting a spiked collar to the office, and big-time jewelers are also not making them (smartly). So I’ll get straight to the point—see what I did there?—about pyramid jewelry. You’ve got a little bit of edge (what strong woman doesn’t want to wear something fierce?) while remaining sophisticated enough to go anywhere, from the Met Gala to the boardroom to dinner with family. Choices range from high end to low, giving your shoppers their pick of the glitter, with an array of excellent looks. Below are some of my favorite gems from JCK Marketplace—and some inspiration on how to get the look.
