Jen’s Obsession: Laurie Kaiser’s Sunset Over Montana Gemstone and Gold Earrings

My favorite colors are definitely jewel tones—red, purple, sunny yellow, and orange top the list. So when I saw this pair of Lemongrass double drop earrings dubbed Sunset Over Montana by Nashville, Tenn.–based jewelry designer Laurie Kaiser, I did a double take. Here were many of those hues packed into one lovely pair of statement-making earrings (2? inches long). The colors in Kaiser’s gemstones of choice—carnelian up top and agate mined in Montana on the bottom—play so well together, and the textured yellow gold of the mounting and scattered diamond accents embellish the brightness in the white backdrop of the agate and further highlight all the yummy sunset-inspired hues. If I had an extra $5,300 (the retail price for the earrings) in my pocket, I’d spend it on this one-of-a-kind pair.
