Spectacular blooms created in jewels are abundant this season and breathtakingly lovely, with nary a shrinking violet in sight. Among the fabulous flowers in this summer’s fashion garden are the following delights:
The August 2012 issue of Town & Country features the Cartier High Jewelry diamond and sapphire Orchid necklace and a citrine and ruby pansy brooch from Oscar Heyman.
In another floral-themed pastiche, the August issue of Town & Country highlights the De Beers Wildflowers necklace along with a butterfly brooch and flower pins from Tiffany & Co.
Riffing off the elegant style of Mona Bismarck and Millicent Rogers, whom the August 2012 issue of Harper’s Bazaar identifies as “two of the 20th century’s chicest women,” a model wears a huge flower brooch by Chanel Fine Jewelry on her feather-covered vest and gown by Tom Ford. Her flower ring is by Lydia Courteille, and the floral link bracelet is also from Chanel Fine Jewelry. Her dangly earrings are from Boucheron.
The July 2012 issue of InStyle features five dazzling floral-themed rings: a ring of carved quartz roses and diamonds in 18kt rose gold from Dior Fine Jewelry; a diamond and 18k white gold ring of stylized blooms from Van Cleef & Arpels; a stylized daisy in diamonds and 18k gold from Paul Morelli; a diamond, sapphire and 18k gold posy from Roberto Coin, and a diamond, tourmaline, amethyst, charoite and 18k white gold bloom from Cartier.
Actress Emma Stone appears in the July 2012 issue of Vogue in a dandy-ish ensemble set off with a huge daisy brooch from Marni. Her velvet blazer and purple pocket square are from Ralph Lauren Collection and her hat is by Albertus Swanepoel. She also wears a spotted shirt by Rochas and a circle-print tie by Charvet.
Look closely to see the ceramic rose necklace that emerges from the background of a lace and needlepoint dress accompanied by matching earrings, all from Dolce & Gabbana, in this photo from the July 2012 issue of Vogue. The gloves are from Fratelli Orsini.
The June 2012 issue of Allure features an extraordinary statement necklace of pink palladium rosebuds by Dior.
Also pictured in the June 2012 issue of Allure is an all-white ensemble highlighted by a metal floral statement necklace by Sergio Rossi. The top, pans and ostrich-feather bolero are by Ralph Lauren, and the clutch is by Kotur.
Singer and actress Katherine McPhee also appears in white—a jacket from Sandro and a tank by Jen Kao—accompanied by rose-detailed earrings from Miriam Haskell in this photo from the June 2012 issue of Glamour.
A metal cuff that has the visual impact of a wrist corsage designed by Sergio Rossi adorns the wrist of a model wearing a floral print dress from Salvatore Ferragamo, as pictured in the May 2012 issue of Elle. The huge orchids at the top of the page are actually titanium earrings from Jill Heller Fine Jewelry. The model also wears an amethyst ring from Carelle and carved rubellite earrings in a leaf design from Dana Rebecca Designs.
