Chinese movie star Zhang Ziyi, best known in the United States for her starring role in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, got engaged this weekend with a little help from a drone.
Her boyfriend, musician Wang Feng, proposed to the actress at her 36th birthday party. A quadcopter drone, the Phantom 2 Vision+ from DJI, played a supporting role, flying to Feng and hovering long enough for him to take a ring box out of its basket.
He then got on his knees and proposed to the star, according to reports.
The ring is a 9.15 ct. diamond ring designed by Moussaieff, the Want China Times reports.
Feng isn’t the first man to propose using a drone—a Cambridge, Mass., couple made headlines earlier this year with a drone-assisted proposal—but he is the most famous.
