Around this time every year, I write about turquoise. I may fear the thought of being unoriginal or (gasp!) too predictable, but I am a creature of habit; I crave turquoise in the summer just like I search for everything pumpkin-scented in the fall. It’s a way for me, I think, to appreciate that the season has officially arrived. No stone says summer better than turquoise does. I love its cheerful color, its storied history, its varied characteristics. It pairs beautifully with anything in your wardrobe, though I’m partial to matching it with breezy white dresses and all-black ensembles.
