A Texas-themed limited-edition collection will be featured
Jewelry designer Robert Procop is messing with Texas. But in a good way. The Beverly Hills, Calif., jeweler, who’s most famous for creating Angelina Jolie’s baguette-cut dream of an engagement ring, has opened his first-ever retail space—a shop-in-shop inside Saks Fifth Avenue in Houston.
The Robert Procop Exceptional Jewels Salon will bow April 28 with a grand opening ceremony and party. The brand has created a small, Texas-themed collection exclusively for the location, which will be featured through May 7.

The pieces, which are all limited edition, include a Texas edition sapphire and ruby bracelet (pictured above); sapphire and ruby cufflinks; a striking men’s diamond horsehead ring (see photo at top); and the Texas Star ring, featuring a 50 ct. blue star sapphire—a nod to the 50 U.S. states (pictured below).
“We are thrilled to be opening the first Exceptional Jewels salon at Saks Houston,” Mr. Procop said in a prepared statement. “The city is a jewelry mecca, filled with true connoisseurs who appreciate the very finest of jewels. Coupling this with Saks Fifth Avenue, who has been and will continue to be a very important partner of ours, it’s the beginning of an amazing time in Texas.”
