AGS Educational Seminars and Colorvision Screening at GemFair

The American Gem Society announced its education sessions and Colorvision screening Thursday to be offered during the AGTA GemFair Tucson—Jan. 31 – Feb. 5.

Colorvision Screening, which detects color deficiencies in one’s color perception, is recommended for anyone performing appraisals. Appraisals I and II, taught by Cos Altobelli, CGA, are essential for jewelers offering appraisal services and for entrepreneurs interested in building an appraisal business. Topics range from basic appraisal methodology to complex valuation procedures. Additionally, the seminar “The 4 Cs of Professionalism: Building Your Personal Brand,” will be conducted by AGS director of education Diane Flora, CGA. This seminar will help attendees learn how the proper blend of image and expertise creates confidence and how to use professional credentials to increase sales.

For information about these education events, including scheduling and fees, contact Melissa Spence, AGS education coordinator at 702.255.6500 extension 1034.
