Appointments

  • Bryan Aderhold, G.G., R.S., has been promoted to executive vice president of Eternity Natural Emeralds, responsible for the management of day-to-day operations and client and partner relations. The company also has appointed Ish-Paul Peres vice president of marketing. During a 33-year career Peres designed marketing campaigns and advertising material for dozens of major jewelry concerns including The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas.

  • Frederick Goldman Inc. has announced the addition of two industry directors. Andrew Derrig assumes the role of director of merchandising, overseeing brand management and merchandising for Goldman’s fashion brands. He has more than 20 years of experience in the jewelry industry and previously worked for Avon Products Inc. and Jacmel Jewelry Inc.John Cable is director of sales for key accounts. Most recently he was the national accounts manager for Longines, part of the Swatch Group, and before that he was director of Coach Watch at the Movado Group.

  • Charles & Colvard Ltd., Morrisville, N.C., has announced three appointments. Dennis Reed has been promoted to president in addition to maintaining his current duties as chief marketing officer and will be responsible for the sales and marketing functions of the company. Carl Mielke has joined the company on as senior vice president, sales. Mielke will be responsible for managing all sales-related functions and work closely to develop relationships with manufacturing distributors and their retail customers. He was previously employed by the Citizen Watch Co. of America as executive vice president. Steven Abate has been promoted to vice president of manufacturing. Abate joined the company in 2005 and most recently was lead director of manufacturing.

  • The West Coast Jewelry Show has appointed Caren Cotto and Emilia Irizarry to its show team. Cotto joins the WCJS Exhibit Space sales team as account executive. She served withReed Exhibition Companies from 1998 to 2001 and most recently held key positions at Strategic Events Inc. and the InterGem Shows. Irizarry, a graduate gemologist, joins both WCJS and the California Jewelers Association as an account executive, retailer recruitment.

  • Susan Klemt has joined Artistry Ltd., Skokie, Ill. Klemt, a graduate gemologist, previously worked for Roberto Coin‘s Centocollection in New York where she focused on sales training and customer service. She has also worked for Neiman Marcus in Chicago and Artful Hand Gallery in Boston.

  • American Gem Trade Associationhas appointed Marina Epelboym as gemologist in its Gemological Testing Center. Epelboym has 12 years of gemological laboratory experience and previously worked for EGL USA.

  • Bob Nachman has joined LID Ltd., as national sales manager. Nachman previously was vice president of the Keen Division of the NEI Group, a nationally recognized designer, manufacturer, and distributor of diamond jewelry and watches where his management responsibilities included sales, product development, and marketing.

  • Bergio has named Scott Wanstrath as its new president. Wanstrath has more than 28 years’ experience in sales, merchandising, and marketing and was executive vice president of merchandising and sales for LID Ltd. He also served as executive vice president of sales and head of advertising for M. Fabrikant & Sons.
