Bridget Oppenheimer Robbed at Knifepoint

Bridget Oppenheimer, the mother of De Beers Consolidated Mines chairperson Nicky Oppenheimer, was held up at knifepoint and robbed in her Durban, South Africa, home, according to media reports from South Africa.

According to a report on Web site News24.com, police said the robbery at the Milkwood Lodge residence in Durban’s Umhlanga suburb took place on Wednesday night.

Two men, one armed with a knife, were able to bypass a security guard and the caretaker to break into the house, the South African news operation reports.

They confronted Bridget Oppenheimer and demanded cash and jewelry., according to the report. They reportedly fled with the jewelry, cash, and a television set.

Bridget Oppenheimer was not physically harmed during the attack, according to the report.
