Stratus Estate Buyers Joins CBG as Authorized Vendor

Stratus Estate Buyers has joined Continental Buying Group (CBG) as an authorized vendor, giving CBG retail members access to the company’s turnkey estate-buying event program.

Stratus stages three-day in-store buying events at no cost to the retailer, purchasing items including fine jewelry, gold, silver, diamonds, coins, luxury watches, designer handbags, and collectibles. Retail partners receive a guaranteed commission on purchases, while Stratus handles the event model and associated marketing.

“Being welcomed as an authorized vendor by CBG is a meaningful vote of confidence from a buying group known for holding its partners to a high standard,” said Justin VanMatre, founder and owner of Stratus Estate Buyers, in a statement. “CBG retailers are exactly the kind of independent jewelers we built this program for.”

The company made its debut as an authorized vendor at CBG Phoenix show Sept. 14–16, and will showcase at the upcoming CBG in Miami, Jan. 18–20, 2027.

NYCJAOS Returns for Its Autumn Edition

The NYC Jewelry, Antique & Object Show (NYCJAOS) will return to the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood Nov. 19–22, bringing together approximately 175 antique galleries, jewelry designers, and luxury object dealers. The show will feature vintage and antique jewelry, pre-owned watches, contemporary jewelry, silver, handbags, art objects, and collectibles.

“We continue to see strong consumer demand for luxury pre-owned watches, vintage and antique jewelry, and distinctive art objects,” said KIL Promotions founder Konstantinos I. Leoussis, adding that shoppers also appear drawn to “the discovery process” surrounding vintage pieces.

A trade- and dealer-only VIP preview will be held Nov. 19 from 3 to 7 p.m., with tickets priced at $75. The show opens to the public Nov. 20–21 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Nov. 22 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; general admission is $20. For more information, visit nycjaos.com.
