Russian diamond producer Alrosa
projects it will sell $3.5 billion in diamonds in 2011, a 3.2 percent jump from
2010.
Some $3.3 billion of that is projected to be from rough
diamond sales, and $160 million from polished sales.
Alrosa’s rough diamond production in 2011 is projected to
total 34 million carats, a two percent jump from 2010.
