Raymond’s
Jewelers in Sioux Falls, S.D., fell victim to an early morning jewelry heist
Dec. 10.
The Sioux Falls
Police Department responded to an alarm at the store at 4:30 a.m. Sergeant Sam
Clemens tells JCK that officers found a door had been forced open at the
business next to Raymond’s Jewelers. The suspects were able to enter the
jewelry store by cutting a hole in the wall.
“Once inside,
they ended up taking several thousand dollars worth of jewelry. We’re not sure
of the exact dollar amount at this time,” Clemens says.
Surveillance
video was obtained but Clemens is unsure if police will be able to recover
anything from it. “I don’t see any activity on the case at all, so we don’t
have anything new at this point.”
Raymond’s
Jewelers could not be reached for comment.
