Diamonds Are a Dog’s Best Friend at Baccarat Hotel New York

Share

New York’s most fashionable four-legged guests just got an upgrade at a midtown hotel.

Baccarat Hotel New York has unveiled the Canine Couture Diamond Experience, an exclusive in-room jewelry consultation for hotel guests and their dogs—complete with champagne for the human companion, and gold and diamonds for their dog’s new bespoke collar. The amenity is offered in partnership with the D Diamond, a fine jewelry house that specializes in handcrafted heirloom collars for canine companions.

The concept is as lavish as it sounds. A private consultation takes place in the guest’s room, where D Diamond founder Racheli Waters Shamir guides pet owners through custom-creating an 18k white or yellow gold collar, perhaps with a precious gem-set Paw de Luxe charm, tailored to their dog’s personality. Each collar will feature a ruby detail—a nod to the Baccarat Hotel’s signature red.

The consultation is priced at $1,000, fully credited toward the price (of at least $7,500) of any piece commissioned from the D Diamond. This Canine Couture Experience is available exclusively through the hotel.

“This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to creating moments that are both highly personal and unmistakably luxurious, enhanced with a whimsical ‘French wink,'” said Israël Benyaïr, general manager of the hotel, in a statement. “We are now able to extend this unique service experience to our guests’ beloved pets by creating something truly special and entirely unique to Baccarat Hotel New York.”

Shamir added, “The D Diamond New York was born from love, the kind of love we have for our canines. This collaboration with Baccarat Hotel New York transforms that love into something tangible, timeless, and deeply personal. Each piece is not just jewelry, it is a story.”

Her company donates 10% of its annual profits to no-kill canine shelters in New York City, currently partnering with Social Tees Animal Rescue.
