On March 5, the Spencer Company, a
Beverly Hills, Calif.–based management company, created NecklaceVideo.com with plans to stream
the surveillance video of Lindsay Lohan’s alleged Jan. 22 jewelry theft.
According to reports, Kamofie & Co., the Venice, Calif.,
jewelry store where Lohan allegedly stole a $2,500 necklace, sold
the video to various media outlets for more than $35,000.
“Speculation as to what
occurred that day has been subject of intense rumor in the media and elsewhere.
Many individuals want to be able to see the video streams from the jewelry
store’s surveillance cameras, and we have obtained the exclusive license for
them,” the website says.
Entertainment Tonight will
feature the video
on the March 7 episode.
The sale of the tape could
hurt the prosecution and reduce sentencing for Lohan, writes the Los Angeles Times.
