Pandora Switching CEOs Ahead of Schedule

Pandora’s new CEO, Berta de Pablos-Barbier, will step into the role on Jan. 1, two months earlier than expected, the company announced today.

When her appointment as CEO was announced in September, Pandora said that Pablos-Barbier—currently the company’s current chief marketing officer—would take over from longtime CEO Alexander Lacik in March.

However, today’s statement from board chair Peter Ruzicka said the handover was hastened by an “exceptionally smooth” transition and the selection of a replacement for Pablos-Barbier as chief marketing officer.

Jennie Farmer, now Pandora’s senior vice president, brand experience and channels, will succeed Pablos-Barbier as marketing chief on Jan. 1. Farmer joined Pandora in January 2025.

Her résumé also includes 25 years working for luxury brands, including a one-year stint as global marketing director and product director for De Beers Jewellers (from October 2019 to November 2020).

Lacik will remain with Pandora as special adviser to the board and executive leadership team until its shareholders’ annual general meeting on March 11, 2026.

In a statement, Pablos-Barbier said, “My immediate focus will be to navigate the current market turbulence while gearing up to leverage our untapped opportunities as a full jewelry brand and drive long-term growth.”
