But other times—most times, if you’re anything like me—the running around that the holiday season demands calls for a bit of effortless glamour, the throw-on-and-go-but-still-look-nice kind. Peruse any major retailer’s holiday style collection or blogger’s guide to dressing and you’ll find them—rhinestone barrettes; glossy, bow-bedecked claws; petite golden flower clips to give one’s mane a glow. It’s a banner year for hair accessories, but in our industry, we simply see hair as one more place to outfit with jewelry.
