TechForm, the Portland, Ore.-based platinum casting company, has appointed Silas Morgan director of business development.

In a statement, Morgan said he hopes to expand TechForm’s gold offerings.

Morgan previously worked as head of wine growing at Oregon’s Sweet Ridge Farm and as a teaching assistant in the University of California, Davis’ department of viticulture and enology.

“I’ve known Silas for almost 20 years,” said TechForm president Sarah Loveland in a statement, “and I jumped at the opportunity to add him to our team. I knew his technical background and experience in luxury would be a great fit and would allow him to hit the ground running.”
