Feet are the focus this summer, it seems—at least in the style world, with foot-related items from ankle bracelets to embellished sandals at the forefront of fashion. Toe rings are there too.
Music superstar Bad Bunny got in on the trend last month with the release of his song “Alambre Púa,” donning a bevy of diamond adornments across his toes in the single’s cover photo. “It’s def a toe ring summer,” witty blogger and influencer Leandra Medine Cohen has posted.

The trend was foreshadowed back in 2023, when Rihanna sported a $600,000 XIV Karats diamond toe ring during the week of the Met Gala and Carla Bruni wore a toe stack at the Venice Film Festival that summer.
2025’s interpretation of the toe ring has a certain refinement that was lacking during the style’s ’90s heyday. Incorporating multiple carats, precious metals, and even freshwater pearls, the toe ring (albeit eternally playful) has taken on a more sophisticated role.

It’s also important to note that a a toe ring and a ring meant for fingers but worn on the toes are not one and the same. A proper toe ring is engineered with an open, adjustable band to accommodate each toe’s unique tapering and ensure a secure and comfortable fit without the risk of slipping off. A finger ring, built for a more uniform digit, usual lacks this adaptability, proving ill-suited for the subtle contours of the foot.

Care to dip a toe, anyone?
