We asked four retailers across the country to share their best-selling silver pieces of the week:
Central
Alpine Jewelers, Rexburg, Idaho Sterling silver open cuff bracelet, $600. “We’ve gotten more into the bigger, chunkier fashion,” says owner Kevin Panter. “We’re primarily a bridal store, so we’ve done poorly with the more high-end pieces. But this style has been selling well.”
East
Baribault Jewelers, Glastonbury, Conn. Tacori 18k sterling silver colored gemstone necklace, $950. “They’re made in the U.S. and are hand-crafted,” says Cathy Baribault, sales manager. “Also, the company really stands behind their product.”
South
Eiseman Jewelers, Dallas Deakin and Francis sterling silver cufflinks, $490. “The only sterling silver we carry in our store are cufflinks,” says sales manager Marni Mulvey. “They’re fun, they’re playful, and not as serious. I think even our most serious customers are looking for something fun.”
North
Juhas and Sullivan Jewelers, Grand Rapids, Mich. Thistle & Bee stackable bangles, $725. “You can combine the different gemstones and make it fun,” says owner Jeff Juhas. “Most people are looking for these for the look; price is secondary. If somebody was looking for a gift, I would recommend they buy two or three.”
