Women’s fashion company Tory Burch is suing six companies in U.S, District Court for allegedly producing jewelry with a similar design to Burch’s well-known “TT” Logo.
The company and its subsidiary River Light LLP filed four lawsuits in the Southern District of New York last week against Wona Trading Inc., Lin & J International Inc., Jewelry House Corp., and Glitzlane Boutique, alleging that they are selling jewelry based on Burch’s designs. Lawsuits were filed earlier this week against Golden Stella Inc. and Medina’s Collections,Inc. for trademark infringement.
The lawsuits are being filed separately, but Tory Burch believes the cases are “interconnected,” according to a news report in WWD. The company is seeking injunctive relief and unspecified damages.
It’s not the first time Tory Burch has aggressively defended its “TT” designs. The fashion company recently filed a suit against Bluebell Accessories in March for allegedly “using suspicious designations that are identical to, or substantially indistinguishable from, the TT Logo.”
