Karen Goracke and Mercedes Abramo
Jewelers of America (JA) has elected two new members to its board of directors.
Karen Goracke of Borsheims Fine Jewelry and Gifts and Mercedes Abramo of Cartier North America were both elected during JA’s semiannual board meeting on July 26 in New York.
Goracke joined Borsheims Fine Jewelry and Gifts in 1988 and was appointed president and CEO in 2013. Abramo has been with Cartier since 2008 and was appointed president and CEO of Cartier North America in June of this year.
They will both serve on the JA board through 2017.
