The commander in chief sports a Fitbit Surge
President Barack Obama has now been twice spotted wearing a smartwatch. His model of choice is the Fitbit Surge (pictured, right), which retails for $250.
The latest sighting: during the president’s appearance on Jerry Seinfeld’s Web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
The smartwatch includes a step tracker, sleep tracker, heart rate monitor, and counts calories burned.
Obama told Jimmy Kimmel in March that he is not allowed to have a smartphone with a recording device, which eliminates many wearables, including the Apple Watch, from decorating the president’s wrist (the Apple Watch requires syncing with an iPhone).
