Charlotte Preston Catalysts, which has facilitated and run education programs for many prominent organizations and trade shows, is closing, due to what its owner calls “a serious cancer diagnosis.”
Charlotte Preston said the closing, which comes after 30 years of industry involvement, was “somewhat earlier than intended.” Events Preston has worked for include the JCK Show, the American Gem Trade Association GemFair, and the American Gem Society Conclave. The business has also facilitated the Jewelers for Progress group since 2003.
“To the many speakers who readily gave time and information, to the many clients who found value in offering education, and to the many jewelers who look to make their contributions to their communities meaningful in their roles as business leaders, thank you,” Preston said in a statement.
