Hoover & Strong will offer Fairmined gold beginning next year.
The recycler will make available grain, sheet, and round wire in 14k, 18k, and 24k yellow Fairmined gold, as well as Fairmined silver as a casting metal. Additional Fairmined products may be made available based on customer demand.
Fairmined gold is extracted by artisanal and small-scale miners and produced under a specific standard.
Jewelers who carry the metal will be required to become Fairmined licensees.
Interested parties are requested to take an online survey on possible demand.
