Pat Patten, former president of the Nancy B. Corp. and MJSA board member, died Sept. 8 of Alzheimer’s disease.
Patten worked at Finlay Fine Jewelry for 15 years and later became president of Nancy B. He later became vice president of the Miadora.com subsidiary Jewelry.com.
Barbara Mooty, who worked with Patten at Jewelry.com, remembers his “magnificent smile [that] captured the beauty of his soul.
“I hold such fond memories and treasured moments of conversation and laughter,” she says. “It was with Pat’s vision that Jewelry.com was launched in the late ’90s. I moonlighted for Pat and his team as a gemology content copywriter in those days. There was always excitement at Jewelry.com in those early days.”
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Alzheimer’s Association.
