Stuart Brown, who served as joint interim CEO of De Beers following the resignation of Gareth Penny, will join miner Firestone Diamonds as CEO.
Tim Wilkes, current CEO, will step down on Dec. 1 but will remain with the company as an independent director.
Brown, 49, spent 20 years at De Beers, where he also served as chief finance officer.
