Pearl Powerhouse Frank Mastoloni Dies



Francis J. “Frank” Mastoloni, a longtime pearl dealer and former president of the Cultured Pearl Association of America, died May 9 at age 86.  

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Frank, alongside his brothers and brother-in-law, built Mastoloni Pearls into one of the world’s foremost pearl companies. Mastoloni frequently lectured at the Gemological Institute of America about the pearl business. 

He is survived by Maryann, his wife of 54 years; their three children; his three brothers and a sister; and seven grandchildren.
