Andrea Hansen, Courtney Cohen Launch New Company

You’ve worked with them at high-profile firms like Beaudry, H.Stern, Elizabeth and James, and Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, but now they’ve hung a shingle on their very own agency to help launch and sell your brand: Andrea Hansen and Courtney Cohen are debuting LuxeIntelligence in New York City.

With more than 40 years of combined experience in the luxury sector, the co-partners aim to help jewelry designers from all over the globe go to market, either in the U.S., or in one of a number of other countries where the team has contacts, allowing designers to focus on their craft. Additionally, retailers can get help boosting the credibility and profiles of their firms.

“Most of the talented people we know—designers and retailers—can’t afford to build a team with the corporate and sales intelligence, experience, and contacts that Courtney, myself, and our group will offer,” Hansen tells JCK.

While the jewelry industry has a wealth of consultants, public relations agencies, and sales showrooms, there is a void for those who offer the complete package for clients, including working with designers from brand conception to image development, and media relations to merchandising, pricing, and global distribution, through marketing and sales assistance. “I believe the best collection is that which is merchandised in a coherent manner with that brand’s distribution goals,” Hansen says.

LuxeIntelligence offers competitive and market analysis, a way of honing new business platforms and buying and merchandising strategies, product development, sample line orientation, and business positioning, as well as assistance with brand identity, media training for executives, retail space development, sales training, social media and video campaigns, and more.

“LuxeIntelligence is an integrated firm of brand intelligence and business development services—whether they are wholesale, retail, new distribution platforms, or even to seek licensing or investor opportunities for our clients,” adds Hansen. “We will seek to develop each client in his or her own right platform, at every level. There is a need to educate industry in what it takes to become commercially successful; it takes more than fulfilling creative design dreams.”

LuxeIntelligence’s salon is located at 2 West 45th St., Suite 1705, and will feature some clients’ merchandise as well as serve as a meeting place for both buyers and media. Clients to date total 10 and include Yael Sonia, Emily & Ashley, Rina Limor, Mateo Bijoux, and London Jewelers, which has five stores on Long Island in addition to its newest TWO by LONDON shop of bridal jewelry, for which LuxeIntelligence assists with its digital marketing strategy.
