Ronnie Vanderlinden Elected DMIA President

Ronnie Vanderlinden was elected president of the Diamond Manufacturers and Importers Association at a meeting held March 5 in New York City.

Vanderlinden, who previously served as the group’s vice president and chief financial officer, replaces Ronald Friedman, who has held the post since 2004.

“My priority is to continue to look after the good health and well-being of our industry,” Vanderlinden tells JCK. “The DMIA has achieved a high measure of respect among government and industry. We want to continue to be very active.”

He says his predecessor “worked tirelessly on behalf of the membership and the organization. We all owe him a bit of gratitude.”

Also elected were: Saul Goldberg, Eli Haas, Hertz Hasenfeld, Fred Knobloch, and Sheldon Kwiat as vice presidents; Stuart Samuels as secretary; and Parag Shah as treasurer.
