Atlanta Jewelry Store to Sell Elvis’ Jewelry

Fans of Elvis Presley have a chance to purchase jewelry owned by the King of Rock and Roll.

An anonymous client, who acquired the jewels from Lamar Fike, a close friend of Elvis’, asked Atlanta jeweler Jonathan Shapero to appraise and sell the jewels.

The two pieces, expected to sell for $50,000 combined, include a 4.5 ct. tourmaline ring and gold bracelet embellished with diamonds.

“Elvis loved jewelry and would give it away to his friends,” Shapero says. According to a letter personally written by Fike, Elvis asked him to hold the ring during one of his shows. When the show was finished, he gifted his friend the jewel.

“Elvis was the most prolific collector of men’s jewelry,” Shapero says. “He understood and appreciated the industry.”

The other piece up for sale, the customized gold bracelet, was specially made for Elvis to commemorate his Circle G Ranch. Fike even had the bracelet engraved for his friend, revealing its authenticity.

Shapero plans on accepting offers for the jewelry over the next 60 days. “I’ve received a lot of attention for this,” Shapero says. “Everyone from Elvis impersonators to those who also own pieces from Elvis’ collection have contacted me.”
