24 Karat Club Director Jack Woolf Dies

Jack Woolf, an industry veteran who worked most recently as executive director of the 24 Karat Club of Southern California, died of heart failure on July 19. He was 75.

Woolf spent 13 years at Barry’s Jewelers, the then-California-based chain, eventually rising to senior vice president of merchandising.  He also worked at M&L Jewelry Manufacturing and the Celebrity Television Network.

“He was really a force in the industry,” remembers son Larry Woolf. “There was not a stronger pen in the Western half of the United States for many years.”

Woolf is survived by two sons and a grandson.
