American Sightholders Mostly Stay on De Beers List

American sightholders appear to have maintained their status on the De Beers 2012 to 2015 client list announced Dec. 19.

Julius Klein, Stuller, Lazare Kaplan, Almod Diamonds, Premier Gem, and Eloquence all confirmed to JCK that their status had been renewed.

In addition, Tiffany & Co. says that its subsidiary, Laurelton Diamonds, is now receiving four sights from De Beers, in London, Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa.

One new name on the list: Hasenfeld-Stein. The New York City-based company had previously been a sightholder, lost the designation in 2008, and is now on the list again.

“We are proud to be DTC sightholders,” says spokesman Steve Feldman.

Other New York City sightholders—Louis Glick—did not return phone calls or messages from JCK. Finesse Diamonds says it is no longer on the list.
