Sterling Jewelers named diamond industry veteran Clark McEwen as senior vice president of strategic diamond sourcing.
McEwen previously served as global marketing manager for Rio Tinto Diamonds where he was responsible for directing and overseeing its global marketing initiatives. He also served as chief operating officer and vice president of marketing for The Gemesis Corporation, where he managed the synthetic diamond supply chain, from rough to polished, and served as the chief liaison with industry-wide representatives and agencies.
McEwen also served as manager of CanadaMark for BHP Billiton, managing director at Triton Trading BVBA, vice president of purchasing at TDS Ltd., and diamond controller and director of the loose diamond division at Spence Diamonds Ltd.
