Springfield, Mo., Jeweler Woody Justice Dies

Woody Justice, owner of Justice Jewelers in Springfield, Mo., died Oct. 24 of a stroke.

Justice, who served on the board of Jewelers of America, was best known for his humorous television commercials, his “Wokka Wokka” diamonds, and his tagline, “I want to be your jeweler.”

The store’s Web page notes that Justice took his store “from an obscure location in a strip center on Sunshine Avenue to occupy a 10,000-square-foot showroom on Highway 65 at Battlefield Road.”

The family asks that donations be made to Camp Barnabas, an Ozarks camp for handicapped children that Justice supported.

Visitation hours with Justice’s family are scheduled for Thursday from 5–8 p.m. at the Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. The public is invited.
