K.C. Jewelry Co., a retail store, opened in Chattanooga, Tenn. Ken Smith, Ron Colebrooke and Joseph Lieberman started the business, which specializes in custom jewelry design and manufacture. King's Jewelry opened its 32nd store. The new store is in the Southland Mall in Marion, Ohio. King's operates six other stores in Ohio, 24 in Pennsylvania and one in West Virginia. RELOCATION Trabert & Hoeffer relocated its Chicago, Ill., store from N. Michigan Ave. to a 5,000-sq-ft. location on Oak St. During the grand opening, customers were treated to champagne and a chance to meet jewelry designers Picchiotti, Steven Lagos, Marlene Stowe, Michael Bondanza, Carlo Antonini and Trabert & Hoeffer's exclusive designer, Susan Berman. The store had been on N. Michigan Ave. since 1939.
