Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America (MJSA) recently appointed Mary Walek as director of education. Walek was formerly the executive director of the Attleboro, Mass., Area School-to-Career Partnership. In her previous position, Walek worked with MJSA on industry outreach programs that served more than 200 middle and high school students. In her new position, she will be responsible for providing the jewelry industry with a variety of training opportunities, from top executives to incumbent workers, as well as developing welfare-to-work and school-to-career programs.
