Black ruled the red carpet at the annual glamour-fest

The fashion crowd was abuzz over the supermodel’s bangin’ red-carpet look (was it faux fringe, or a face-framing new ’do?). But frankly, we were all about Hadid’s menswear-inspired Versace suit and her stacks of gold rings; we counted at least nine, from designers including Le Vian, Sutra, and Antonini. Even pal Kendall Jenner—no slouch herself in the jewelry department—was seen admiring Hadid’s diamond-adorned hands.

Along with Queen Latifah, Oscar winner Berry was on hand to present her pal Will Smith with the MTV Generation Award. Berry wore a relatively—for the MTV crowd, that is—conservative to-the-knee Noam Hanoch LBD that smartly capitalizes on this fall’s off-the-shoulder trend. Her jewelry was limited to delicate black diamond rings…because why detract from those amazing lace-covered abs?

Jewels by Solange Azagury-Partridge, who also accessorized the actress in Snow White & the Huntsman, added subtle sparkle.
