Harold Jaffe Jewelers Receives Governor’s Award

Harold Jaffe Jewelers, Toledo, Ohio, was selected as one of eight recipients of the 2003 Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio. Jeff Jaffe accepted the Business Support of the Arts award on behalf of the family-owned store.

Harold Jaffe Jewelers has sponsored numerous arts-related events since the founding of the jewelry store in 1947. The store provides in-kind support, financial contributions, and staff volunteers. In addition to major sponsorships of the ACGT’s Roots of Diversity exhibition, Young Artists at Work program, Community Grants program, and Public Art program, Jaffe also sponsors the Toledo Jazz Society’s Harold Jaffe Jewelers Concert Series and contributes to the Toledo Museum of Art, the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, the Valentine Theatre, the Toledo Opera, and the Toledo Ballet Association.

As sponsor of the Theater League Broadway Series at the Stranahan Theater, Jaffe provides ticket subsidies for special matinees and supports educational matinees for young people.
