Gemologists from European Gemological Laboratory will present a series of lectures for the trade in 2001. Last year, the EGL education department focused on high pressure/high temperature (HPHT) diamond enhancement, presenting more than 20 lectures on the subject. Available seminars for this year include an updated HPHT seminar, origin of color in fancy colored diamonds, advanced testing of pearls using the spectroscope and spectrophotometers, and synthetic diamonds.
