Appointments

The VIVID Collection has appointed Alexis Sarkissian as chief executive officer. As CEO, Sarkissian will focus on raising brand awareness and reinforcing VIVID Collection’s position in the fine jewelry market. Prior to his appointment, Sarkissian spent 13 years with Piaget, a division of the Richemont group, focusing on brand development in Europe and the Far East.

Frank O. La Roux has been appointed president of EMA Diamonds Inc. La Roux is a jewelry industry veteran with over 35 years of experience, including 27 years in retail. He has held positions as vice president for Kay Jewelers, Sterling, and Friedman’s Jewelers.

Leach & Garner, North Attleboro, Mass., has made the following appointments: David A. Schachter has been appointed vice president of sales for technical products and raw materials. Schachter has more than 20 years of management experience within the raw materials industry including responsibilities as vice president of sales and regional sales manager. Andrea L. Cambio has joined the sales and marketing department as a customer service provider for raw materials. Cambio’s experience includes serving as sales coordinator at Laserfare Inc. in Smithfield, R.I., and Refining One, Providence, R.I. Kristine M. Lovell has joined the sales and marketing department as a customer service provider and inside sales representative. Lovell has eight years’ experience as a customer relations manager for a marketing and fulfillment company as well as experience in inventory control, product development, and project management.

Frederick Goldman welcomes Amy Lopatin as designer for a new brand of sterling silver jewelry that the company will launch at The JCK Show ~ Las Vegas in June. Lopatin comes to the company from David Yurman, where she had worked on the design team since 1997. At Yurman, she was responsible for assisting in the design of lines such as New Albion, Crossover, and Cable Kids, and was previously employed in the photography studio of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. A two-time recipient of the Nabisco Emerging Artists award, Lopatin holds a B.F.A. from Cornell University.
